  Finding this hotel is a bit of a challenge, but Google maps took us right to it. Downtown hotel, $10 per night for parking, whether valet or self-park. Clean rooms, friendly people, new design, good breakfast.

  It's nice but my microwave doesn't turn so I have to turn it every 20 seconds for my food to cook right. When I asked for a working one they brought one from another room that also was broken. When we figured that out they said they're all like that. So I guess I'll deal with it. You'd figure spending so much money asking for a working microwave would be an easy task

  Nice staff, good for morning breakfast (included in the price)....a little bit of a walk to the River Walk and the Alamo, but doable, and a cute grocery store across the way to pick up any incidentals or take out meals.

  Clean hotel, nice sized rooms. Very pleasant staff. The floors and walls are thin though. You can hear heavy steps from above and showers/toilets in use from adjoining rooms.

  Hotel was up to standard I'd have to say, except for the glaring street signs and nearby giant La Quinta sign that light up the room enough I can clearly read a book if I'm in the right position. (Maybe La Quinta has curtains that actually cover the window and dark out their rooms...) I look around the room and find a blanket and realize there's no way to put up any more curtains, even if you wanted to. I just want to block out all the bright lights so I can get some good sleep!! So I go downstairs and end uo finding no one to help me. Just absolutely disappointing that a hotel chain like this doesn't have managers or the personal touch to make sure their rooms aren't lit up like the street their windows are facing. Pictures included, and remember that the tissue paper looking stuff you see is the only "curtain" they've provided, the other "real" curtain only covers the edges of the windows. Please look into this, please buy some curtains THAT ACTUALLY CLOSE ALL THE WAY!! And please never underestimate the positive effects a dark room can have on a night's sleep. All the amenities in the world could not make up for going to bed with a competing hotel's sign lighting up your room. I mean, come on, do you even know that La Quinta is providing that entire side of rooms of your hotel with free light? You could probably get away with cutting electricity to those rooms, and then maybe you would be able to afford those real curtains all your better-off hotel friends have, instead of the 1-ply toilet paper that's currently in place. Still awake, Your illuminated customer. Get it? Because "illuminated" has multiple meanings here.
