  my introduction to BJJ was at Hammer and Nail NYC. Levi is an exceptional communicator and sharer of skills. He also has a super welcoming way about him. the academy is amazingly cool, think design meets martial arts. you know there's a level of excellence here that is hard to find. after some initial physical challenges which made me feel like a frustrated 5 year old again, something about this discipline clicked with me and i knew i was going to be coming back for more learning and growing. athleticism meets philosophy meets chess meets tribe meets discipline meets...

  This academy is immaculate. Literally the nicest Jiu Jitsu school I've ever been in. The head instructor was very welcoming and extended me their pre-enrollment membership offer. Looking forward to training at Hammer and Nail.

  Went for the FREE open mats session and WOW. Clean white mats with beautiful wood finishes. Puts so many area martial arts studios to shame based on the learning environment. The instructor was a high energy dude, very dynamic experience. May have to try this again.
