  My mother gets her hair cut by Lori. She always does an awesome job.

  I would not go here if I were you. The woman who cut my hair was nice and attentive, but she did an appalling job with the layers. I also got highlights that looked as though they had been 3 months faded already, and it took her a full 3 hours. At first she didn't cut it as long as I wanted, and when she asked if the length was alright, I said I wanted it shorter. She cut the layers anyway, without shortening it. She asked if it looked alright, and I said I wanted it shorter (for the second time). She then cut it shorter and added layers again, very quickly. At the end she ended up giving me a slightly cheaper price, saying it was "because we ended up shortening it," so I genuinely believe she tried to leave my hair longer so that I would have to pay a fee for a long haircut. She also curled my hair at the very end, so I wasn't able to really see what the layers looked like at the salon. I thought the color was a little light, but just assumed it would look better in the light of my own mirror, and it had taken 3 hours to do the whole process, so I just wanted to leave at that point. I went home and immediately straightened it to see the effect. After straightening I could tell that the layers were awful. It looked haphazardly chopped into very distinct layers, instead of making a gradual transition. I walked down the street to a different hair salon, and the second I walked in the door the owner asked me "Who did your layers?" They were horrified, and thankfully were able to help me out and make my hair much better - although it took tons of additional cutting. He also asked if I wanted him to add in some highlights and I told him I had just gotten highlights down the street. Again, he was horrified and said it looked as though I hadn't renewed my highlights in months, and I agreed.

  I have been going to see Valentina for at least 2 years now. I originally started seeing her when she worked at the Chelsea Hair Cuttery and followed her to Medford.

  Very reasonable and good service..i did haircut and really loved it

  The woman who cut my hair didn't give me the style I asked for. She did a good job, but it wasn't even close to what I wanted. If I even go again, I'll ask for a different stylist.
