  Hackensack Auto Wreckers has always taken good care of me and they always have what I need for my car . Highly recommend this place

  I have been doing business with the whole family for many years. They are honest and their prices are fair, even low at times. They are great for AC, brake jobs, oil changes, they even did a fuel pump for me today. I am always happy to work with Chip and his brothers, Tom "now retired" Sally and Rebecca, they are like family.

  I went there 15 mins before quitting time for a rim, I spoke to Sally who was juggling answering multiple phones and helping me. I said what I needed she looked it up. I left a $5 deposit. When I got home, after they had closed, I noticed she had written the wrong year and size on the deposit receipt. I called first thing in the morning so they could remedy it and not waste time and resources getting the wrong part. The man on the phone seemed competent and wanted a picture of the rim to get me the right part (Sally did not ask for this) I sent the pic and when next I called I got her on the phone and she was so adamant she didn't make a mistake that she invented details in my visit that didn't happen like some employee checking my rim size and then ME leaving the office to check. Neither of which happened. Her accusatory tone, inability to take blame, horrible manner and complete lack of what customer service means lead me to tell her where she could stick my deposit. They made $5 off me, I hope it helps them cover all the checks they seem to bounce in the other bad reviews on here. $5 for me to post a bad review and tell everyone I know to avoid this place like the plague. Good deal.

  I have obtained replacement parts from Hackensack Auto Wreckers on three separate occasions since 2016. Each time, their on-phone support and pricing has been excellent.

  How's this for an awful experience? After dealing with the owner Sally who guaranteed a door wpuld fit my truck(it didn't) I have tried several times to get a refund and having them pick up the door,every time she promised to have this transaction take place,it never did. When I called this morning,to explain WE were coming to return the door, some animal on the other line screamed at me and carried on in the most unprofessional manner. Don't go to these shysters, they are nothing but classless junkyard dogs and liars.
