Guy’s is a real barbershop! There is a large and loyal group of repeat customers who have been coming back for years. This is because Rick gives a great haircut: always exactly what you want, and he remembers your style every time. Guy’s has a warm and welcoming atmosphere; it’s really a community and Rick is the host. New customers are welcome and repeat customers know each other. The conversation is fun and lively. I’ve been coming for years and will for years to come. Rick’s customers are not going to let him retire.

Been going here for nearly 20 years. Old school barber shop. It's great. Appointments only, so call in advance. Rick is great.

I've been getting my haircut by Rick for years. He never fails to give a professional looking haircut and you always meet interesting people.

Rick has been my barber since I started coming here because it was close to the law school and even though I live in Issaquah now I still won't go anywhere else. Rick remembers everyone and there is always friendly and engaging conversation. Yes, his price is higher than places with barely trained 25-year-olds but you're getting a better cut. And Rick didn't expect you to do his job for him; I've been to cheap places where they expect me to know every technical detail of my haircut. With Rick is enough to just say "shorter than it is now and professional." It's cash only and appointment only, which can trip people up but well worth it for the quality of the cut and the atmosphere. If you're the sort of person who thinks Great Clips gives you a perfectly acceptable haircut, then this might not be the barber shop for you, but if you want a true, old fashioned barber shop, this may well be the only one left in Seattle.

Guy's is the best place in the area to get a haircut at. I'm posting this review just to clear the air on some of the negative things posted about this place. If you look at all of the "bad" reviews, you will see that all of them have one thing in common: none of them actually ever got their hair cut at Guy's. How can you review a barber without ever getting a hair cut from him?? I'm not leaving reviews for restaurants I don't eat at, plumbers that haven't fixed my sink, or a mechanic that never worked on my car. Don't review my barber unless you give him a chance to cut your hair. I've actually been getting my hair cut at Guy's for a couple year's now. Rick is great. He will cut your hair exactly how you like it, and he has no problem adjusting to whatever you'd prefer. Every time I go in, I have a new hair cut I want Rick to try out, and I leave happy every time. Rick is also a hell of a nice guy, and a great conversationalist. He puts time and effort into actually getting to know his regular clients. Plus, there are a handful of regulars always hanging out in the shop that are there if you want to play cribbage or just shoot the breeze. The atmosphere in there is always welcoming. This is a great barber shop. Anyone who says otherwise probably knows nothing about the place.
