The place is nice. Great selection, compared to many other music stores. Staff is very helpful and usually pretty nice.

Great selection of guitars and gear, but pretty terrible service. If you already know what you're looking for and just want to try out some gear, this is a great place for that. The selection here is way better (especially at the higher end) than the smaller location nearby on Mass Ave.

Good store with helpful staff and reasonable selection. Would recommend the larger store close by in Fenway

It took them about an hour to look at the used gear I brought in and quote it. They are suppose to offer you 60% of current selling price but offered me less than 40%. I left without selling my equipment. They told me if I listed it online at the price I wanted it would sit for months. I sold it online to someone else within a week for 130% of current list price (3x the amount this GC offered). Also, while waiting I was thinking about buying something else, multiple employees walked by but no one offered to help. Stay away from this GC location.

I've been to other guitar centers and had never waited 45 minutes to get an item. Walked into this store asked for a guitar amp (orange brand). After getting a salesperson, he checks what I want and then says "I'll be back with it" 45 minutes later and after asking someone else, I was still waiting for the amp. I was ready to walk out when another (3) salesperson comes along and actually helps locating the amp which was on the first floor not the second. I never saw the first salesman again (one hour passed) before my purchase .
