  My experience at this place was horrible. The security hailed up the regular line only letting in 2 people in every 20 mins to force people to pay the skip line fee which was $30 dollars. Wait a the bar for 29 mins only to be over charged by a bartender who thought I was drunk. I paid $16 dollars for to 2 Corona's which makes them $8 dollars each. It was over crowded with no or very little space to move around. I will not be visiting this place again.

  The Certified Funny Saturdays show featuring Marvin Hunter was definitely a great experience. The food was good and the drinks were on point. B Smooth does a great job putting these shows together. I hadn't been to Grooves of Houston in years but I may have to put them back on my list of spots for the grown and sexy! Thanks B Smooth!

  Is this a zoo?? Seriously? This place seems like it is part of the Houston zoo. With all the animals that lurk here! This place is BEYOND ghetto. I came here a few nights ago under the recommendation of a colleague. I am no longer friends or associated with that colleague. Ghetto music, ghetto people, and poor quality food and drinks. I found “curly hair” in my drinks. I don’t have curly black hair. The restrooms stunk like ammonia and urine was all over the floor. The walls were brown stained...I think you know where I’m going with the bathrooms. The clientele was just awful. I’d rather spend time at the Houston zoo! It seemed cleaner there! Avoid this place! FAKE REVIEWS AND FAKE NEWS!

  Malik was funny and deserve 5 stars. Grooves deserve 0 stars. I wish I could put 2.5 stars but I can’t. So here goes...it took the waitress 1 hour to come to our table. It took an additional 30 minutes for the waitress to come back only to tell us the waitresses switched sides of the club. It took an additional 30 minutes for the new waitress to come to our table. She took our drink orders and never returned. The kitchen waitress had to bring our drinks. Then gratuity was added to our tab when the menu clearly says gratuity is added to tables or 6 or more. I had a party of two. Management claimed gratuity is added to drink orders but that isn’t posted anywhere in the club. Grooves decided to capitalize off the comedy show by not offering happy hour prices. I won’t return.

  This is my GO-TO spot! Grooves has always offered excellent customer service, great atmosphere, and awesome vibes for me and my friends. The Happy Hour is literally the BEST in Houston!! Where else in the urban nightlife could you get half off appetizers with .75 shots on a Friday after work?! When me and my friends are looking for a Friday night out we always give Grooves a call and make a reservation! Love this place ;)
