::Every time we go, it's with high hopes. And every time we go, we get disappointed. We are die hard Tiki enthusiasts, and Grass Skirt is always a let down. We are from the era of the Kahiki Supper Club in Columbus so maybe our expectations are a bit high. The food is OK, sometimes I wonder if they bought bulk frozen appetizers and just quick fry them to heat them up. A few of the entrees are good. This most recent visit, it was finally warm enough to enjoy the patio. Disgusting is being nice. The patio had 5 tables, 2 occupied 3 dirty. There was one waiter (poor guy) running his head off. My husband was quick to point out the many cigarette butts littering the entire patio and landscape. The dead landscape. There were 6 pots of dead plants and a garden hose thrown in the corner. The saddest part? The original Kahiki fountain that is not running, filled with dead leaves and cigarette butts. The drinks are OK, but not the best we've ever had. We actually have to make a note of the bad ones we've had so we don't reorder. Sad to say this is the last time we will visit. If they can't even keep up the establishment, what's the point of calling yourself a Tiki Bar? A true Tiki Bar cares about the ambiance as much as the menu.

::Absolutely love this place l! Certainly one of the hidden gems of Columbus! The food is well done, the drinks are not too fruity and have a really good balance to them. Located around where pins/slammers/wolf's ridge/Elevator taproom area so its a Good downtown bar crawl spot!

::Had heard about this place after reminiscing about Kahiki Restaurant which used to be popular back in the day. While Grass Skirt Tiki room may have some of the original Kahiki decorations, it's definitely not a comparison. Food is all Polynesian style, but is all just "OK". Didn't really feel my food was super amazing. They have a lot of drink selections, but anyone who doesn't like pineapple (my wife) almost everything has it in it. Ambiance and decorations are cool, but it's definitely crowded here when it fills up.

::Service was very slow. Drinks were not good- if you're going to pay >$10 for a tiki drink, it better have fresh fruit and additives that haven't expired/oxidized. Food was greasy. I wish this was better. I wanted it to be better. But we were really disappointed

::Unique and different from your usually bar and grill. Seating is a little tight, but the staff makes it work. Had a outing with 6 people and they were accommodating. Great drinks and awesome portion sizes for the appetizers. A nice change of pace from your typical bar and grill!
