  Great city dog park across from Comerica Park. The perimeter is dirt and the middle portion is turf. There are ample trash cans, a water spigot and dog bowls and shaded seating for dog parents. There are themed events every month posted on the entry gates. We were just passing through Detroit in mid October and needed a place for our retriever to let off some energy. The park had a hay bale in the middle for dogs to play on and scare crow decorations, which were cute, but I heard a few of the dogs were creeped out by them. People there were generally nice and attentive. Although our dog was one of the largest dogs there in a Tuesday night, she had a great time with the 6+ dogs that were there.
