  Worst bagel store in new york, i know someone that is close with the onwer so i can get free food but i refuse because its so bad dont come here ever

  I've been a loyal customer at Grand Bagel for the past year. I decided to stop going there for the following reasons. I found a piece of hair in my tuna salad,(Oh, and when I told him he just smiled, something he always does to pacify a bad situation) You don't smile! You say to a customer, "I'm really sorry about that, I don't want to lose your business/ I'll make certain it does not happen again. Well, you get it CULTURE!!!! everything taste and smells like dampness/mildew, the owner (Sam, big phony that smiles all the time) has been watering the coffee down to save money (in part due to his failing business) BTW, this was told to me by his 2 employees that worked there (that got paid off the books) for some 13 years, a woman with long hair and the baker Alex that were let go because he can't afford to pay them. The cold cuts are low quality, not fresh and I've found mold on them and the hard rolls (despite they are taken from a box that says, "Modern Bakery" they are not from that company, rather they are purchased from Stop & Shop (You know the ones that they sell that are 2 days old). Now as for the taste, that's coming from the garden hose that's used to fill the kettle (used to boil the bagels before they are baked) which is toxic! The proper hose should be a clear hose! The garden hose has chemicals and rubber breaks down especially with hot water! The milk for the coffee has also been known to be outdated and sour. I've reported these issues to the Suffolk County Health Department. There are too many other bagel stores that don't operate like this one, so I spend my American money elsewhere from now on.
