  No one helps you they prefer to talk to each other at these prices you think they would be more friendly they don't even look at you it's all about the money here's a example you buy soup and pay extra for the smallest bag of crackers maybe about 10 in the bag its not even this that's gets to me it's the lack of customer service I'll would avoid this store if you can

  Extremely overpriced! The prices are literally 3 to 5 times higher than other stores

  Cashiers are always sulky - they make you feel like you’re bothering them. Otherwise an okay selection but pricey. Veggies/Foods are never good and fresh

  Really fresh produce and helpful staff. Great price option considering it's on the Upper East Side.

  I would appreciate the healthy options and variety that this Garage provides to the neighborhood a lot more if the quality of prepared foods matched their expiration dates more adequately, lunch special pricing was more consistent, and the organization of food items scattered throughout the store made more sense. The salmon lunch special with two sides cost $19.99, but the boxed salmon lunch container with one side costs $10.99. A side should most definitely not cost $9.00. I can get a hero, a bag of chips and a soda for $9.00 two blocks away. Their soup has excellent quality and variety, but it costs $6.99 for a 16oz container, whereas across the street, I can get the daily soup (one choice), at the same size, for $3.99. Straddling the edge of the Upper East Side and Spanish Harlem, this Gourmet Garage has the distinct privilege to offer healthy options to the residents of Spanish Harlem, which has historically been a food desert, and lower prices for UES customers. If the prices weren't astronomically marked up, this Garage might experience an increase in its customer base, an increase in overall customer satisfaction, and a greater connection to the communities it is attempting to serve.
