    I stayed for a few days. Staff was so friendly and helpful. I need to go back. It's just far from me. Great pychatric ward. They help n care. And my psychiatrist there was the best I ever seen. And I have seen many since age of 5. I'm 38 now. I forgot his name,he is Indian I believe. Great Dr. I highly recommend them.

    This hospital is Putnam sheriffs dept right hand man in admitting arrested parties and admitting them for mental evaluation when most do not need it. Seems like a way for them to make money. Soon eventually someone will take them to court and they will learn the hard way.

    Unequivocally the absolute worst hospital staff one could ever be unfortunate enough to encounter. My grandmother broke her wrist after a fall and we were treated like we were wasting everyone's time. Dealt with five different "nurses" each of whom had no idea what they were walking into - had to explain the situation over and over to each one as there was no intercommunication or patient chart. Staff complained about being overworked, over 12 hour shifts, missing cinco de mayo, to us all while we were waiting to get X-ray results. Then told us they couldn't give us a cast just a wrap and to come back in three days to see another doctor for a cast. Did not provide the contact information for said doctor nor were they accommodating in actually offering us an appointment - "call yourself on Monday" ( no phone number provided). Told us they would call our pharmacy for a pain medication, but next day the pharmacy never received a call from the hospital. I followed up by phone with the hospital and was transferred four different times over the course of being on hold for 25 minutes until being told there was no record of the doctor prescribing anything but that the doctor would return my call within a half hour. Fast forward 12 hours later, no follow up by him. I call back, once again - "someone will get back to you" - never happened, 48 hours later. I would not return to this hospital with a life threatening situation, nor will I ever allow or recommend anyone I know waste their time with such an unprofessional, uneducated, worthless staff. Stay far far away from this joke of a business! Their level of incompetence is staggering and appalling from top to bottom! Only the receptionist was pleasant, personable, and able to do her job properly.

    I was put in a room in the ER because I was having a hard time breathing. No one checked on me for an entire hour, but every nurse that passed by looked at me but didn’t say a word. I finally walked up to the desk and stood there for about 2 whole minutes In front of 3 nurses and one finally acknowledged me and asked if she could help me. I told her no one has checked on me and I can’t breathe. The doctor finally came in and basically gave me a lecture why I shouldn’t smoke instead of actually helping me and told me I look fine. I said listen if it’s a problem I can leave. He was quite condescending. This hospital is unprofessional and not helpful. And this has happened on multiple occasions that I don’t get treated until I bring it to the attention. Honestly take your business to Danbury hospital, 10 extra minutes for real help is worth it.

    From the ER to ICU ...I found the nurses doctors and therapists all professional, very caring and competent, truly concerned about the welfare of their patients. Even staff you meet in the hallway were pleasant, something one appreciates at this difficult time. The staff and doctors were knowledgeable and didn't mind unending questions we had about my husband's care which they answered willingly and with a smile. The hospital is very clean, spacious, technically updated and set in the beautiful region of the Carmel Hamlet. Even the cafeteria food was excellent. I surely highly recommend this hospital!
