::One of, if not the best, Chinese food spot on Merrick Blvd...and there are several. I've been ordering from Gookies for many years and the food is always excellent. The staff is very friendly. All the food tastes fresh and is well seasoned. You can see right into their kitchen, which always looks clean and airy. I've checked out every Chinese take-out spots in the area, and this one is clearly #1.
