I'm going through the admissions process and it seems pretty organic thus far. I will post a full review once my status updates. Transcripts are the key to an orderly and timely process of admitting to the University.

I regret every single penny I spent on the business school. They have a few good professors but most of the ones I had were bad. The feeling I had was that some of my professors didn’t really care about teaching and I could feel their lack of interest and motivation very easily. Some of my professors hadn’t been in the market for years so they have no idea of what is going on in there. I had a professor who canceled class 2 times with no explanation, and asked us to take the midterm and final exam at home, being it an open book exam. He was absent for a total of 4 classes. It was obvious that he didn’t want to be in the classroom. I’ve learned wrong concepts in the classroom because many professors are stopped in time and don’t study to keep themselves up to date. Not only the professors but also the staff take forever to respond to questions or requests (when they do). It feels like they don’t have motivation to do their job and it might be because they can’t be fired, so good luck if you happen to get one of those professors. Professors are always using the latest edition of the books, some of them cost more than $300, but the library rarely has the material that the professors request. When I went to inquire about that, I was told that was my obligation to buy the material. I mean, if the library doesn’t think that the most recent edition of the book is important, what’s the point? They will always offer you old editions, which the professor doesn’t follow anymore. If you are interested in an easy diploma, that’s the place for you. But if your goal is to learn and be challenged, go spend your money somewhere else.

I completed my doctorate at GGU and it was an incredibly rewarding experience. I was first drawn to the program because it was the only fully-accredited doctorate in finance in the Bay Area that could be pursued part-time by someone who also had a career. The experience proved to be so much more than that, however.. The full-time faculty who run the program are passionate about what they do, offering students the opportunity to engage in significant personal growth and deep learning. The faculty are also well suited to GGU's mission, combining, as they do, first class academic credentials with significant leadership experience in the "real world." There are two distinct phases to doctoral study and GGU's program delivers the best of both. The first phase is focused on core doctoral seminars that provide the tools and conceptual framework for understanding and conducting formal research. It was here that I came to fully appreciate the nature of the academic enterprise and begin to master the tools and techniques for its pursuit. The second phase involves the development of a research question that will result (if you're sufficiently diligent) in the production of a formal dissertation. This is the apprenticeship phase, where you work closely with your dissertation committee and, most especially, your chair. My own committee chair, Paul Fouts, was at once both guide and mentor, sending me back again-and-again to reexamine my sources, rewrite my proposals, and revisit the evidence. Each time, my dissertation got better. In the end, I was able to produce work that I believe will have a real impact on my profession. The doctoral program is probably the smallest part of what GGU does, but it represents the best of the University's mission and values. Beyond that, I can heartily recommend GGU to anyone who seeks to improve their skills and advance their career through any any of the University's many degree and certificate programs.

The basement floor inculds both indoor and outdoor spaces which is a good place for the international and local students to meet up people as a coffee shop.
