  Egg tarts ($2) for days! Little whole in the wall of china town and usually there's at least an hour wait but i got lucky on a weekday and really had no wait. They sell out really quickly and their store is very old. Hours are not consistent and leave for "vacation" very often. Tarts were soft and very pudding like when warm. Not a crazy fan of tarts so i thought they were ok.

  I love the egg custard tarts from this bakery...they are just the right amount sweet and the pastry is good and tasty too..I usually buy a dozen whenever I'm here because of two reasons really: a) they are so freakin good and b) this place is open very rarely. Like I dunno why they are closed so often..sometimes they are closed for like 2 months (last summer), there was a note against the glass saying they will be closed for the next two months and then very often when I'm in the city I have found them to be closed..u have to really be lucky to find them open. I have tried their lotus sweet with black bean stuffing and like it too. Also tried but didn't like their sesame fried sweet ball! I have wanted to buy their pineapple bread after I got a couple of recommendations but they were out of it when I wanted them.

  Had to try the egg tarts after seeing the great reviews and big queue. I Had never tried one of these before and they did not disappoint. Super delicious and not to sweet. Also got the black bean moon cake which was pretty unusual tasting and a custard cake which was delicious also.

  If you want tasty good egg tarts, this is the place to get them but you have to be patient enough to wait in a long line to buy them here. My friends recommended this place when I visited the Bay area. I gave only 3 stars for this visit because their customer service was not that good... the ladies who's serving there were not friendly, they seemed to argue over something all the while we were waiting to be served. Oh ya, no picture taken allowed inside the store.

  Never having had egg tart before, we decided to wait in the line. I thought it was fine, but my daughter loved it. It was so different than other sweet treats that I’ve had, that I would still recommend it to people, even though it wasn’t my favorite. We also tried the moon cake with one yoke. Again, my kiddo liked it more than I did. The staff was nice, but they only take cash.
