I felt like I had to write a review for Girasole because of the awful experience I had there, in order to prevent a prospective client from having to go through what I recently did there. I had been to the salon before for blowouts and never had an issue, so when it was time for a haircut after I had removed my hair extensions, I decided to give it a try. I went to Marie for a haircut and she was very sweet, simply taking off a few inches in the front of my hair, as I have had been growing out an asymmetrical bob. She gave me a very blunt cut, which looked OK after she had blown it out, but of course when I went home, there was nothing I can could do with it, because it was just too bottom-heavy, so two days later I called the salon to explain that I really just needed someone to fix the bottom of my hair, maybe add a layer. The woman I spoke to on the phone assured me that it would be a quick fix and that I could actually come in that day, and a stylist named Sydney would be able to fix. When I got there, I explained my issue with my haircut. I showed Sydney how straight and thick the ends were and how it was creating kind of a “triangle” effect, as well as that I did not want to lose any of the length at all, but that I needed the bottom to be less heavy. She assured me that she knew exactly what to do, and promptly took out a pair of thinning shears and started hacking off my hair. When I saw the amount of hair on the floor, I became alarmed and she again assured me she knew what she was doing and that when she was done the length would be exactly the same, just with less of a blunt look to the bottom of my hair. Five minutes later, the bottom of my hair looked like a broomstick. It was sticking out in all directions and it looked terrible. Sydney told me she wasn’t really sure what else she could do, maybe she could add some layers and that would help. I asked her not to cut it anymore, as there was already a mountain of hair on the floor. She then took a couple of minutes and brought over Jessica, one of the head stylists who was in the middle of taking care of a different client. Jessica was very kind and knowledgeable and started “looking through the haircut,” which were her words, to see if there were any errors in the cut that were making it appear the way that it did. She found that in the back the original haircut was crooked. Terrific. She explained that was throwing off the whole cut. Then as she went through the rest of my head checking, she said that what had been done to the bottom was “out of whack.” I told her that was a result of what Sydney had just done moments before. She told me that I would need to take several inches off in order to straighten out the bottom of my hair, and then to cut in a beveled layer, which is what I “should’ve had from the beginning.” Jessica was very nice and very capable, but I was upset when I walked out of the salon 40 minutes. She had fixed the appearance of Sydney’s hack job, but my hair was at least 3 inches shorter than it was when I arrived. Jessica had apologized left and right, and also assured me that the owner of the salon would contact me, and that she would be letting her know what happened so at least something like this could be prevented going forward. Well, over a week and a half later and $1500 out of pocket for me for new hair extensions later, no one has called me. So of course I had to take the time to write to a review to hopefully cause somebody to think twice about visiting this salon, and having an inexperienced stylist completely butcher their hair. I am not saying that there are not knowledgeable and caring stylists that work at the salon, like Jessica, but if you do not know who they are in advance, do not come here. And do not assume that you are going to be given information that is going to match you up with the right/best person, because you may not be.

I absolutely love this salon. Its a very trendy environment with the best hairstylists. I have very thick corse hair and i am very picky on whom I chose to blow out my hair. I finally decided to go into Salon Girasole and my hairstylist Jessica (Jaylynn) did the best job ever! I haven't been to any other salon since!! They are all amazing!
