::Worst haircut ever. I am finally writing this review that has taken me many months to decide to do. I initially went in to ask for an appointment with a stylist who would be able to cut my long hair to a short cute pixie cut. The man at the desk made an appointment for me with a female stylist there that he said was great with short haircuts. Come appointment day, I waited and waited to be seen. When I saw who was about to cut my hair, I should have immediately left and gone with my gut instinct. Not only did she appear to have not had a haircut for ten years, but she did not dress the part of a chic stylist who would know what was modern and stylish and most importantly know HOW to do female short cuts--the first red flag. The second red flag--she grabbed a clipper to immediately buzz off my long hair. Yes, a clipper! I almost freaked out! Having had my hair cut short several times in the past, I was okay with dramatic changes. However, what I wasn't cool with, was a stylist who obviously, in retrospect, hadn't done ANY continuing education classes for her cosmetology license! Had she never been taught proper cuts are done with scissors, especially when doing women's cuts? She cut my hair without any examination of my natural hair stream, its texture, density and formation, and ignored my whorls and cow licks. My hair was cut ended up looking horribly masculine and completely unflattering with hair sticking up all over the place. I looked absolutely ridiculous. I truly believe I was her first female client who wanted their hair cut short. She needs to go back to school and take classes to stay current and advanced her skills because they were obviously left in the eighties. She should not be allowed to cut female short cuts! Just a completely horrible experience! In complete shock, I paid and left and cried when I got home. A huge lesson learned. Do not trust what personnel at salons say about their staff's abilities and ALWAYS go with your gut instincts. Ask friends for referrals. I even enrolled in a cosmetology program two months later and within only one month's education, I realized all the mistakes and miseducation this stylist performed on me. For shame Gino of Rapunzel!!!
