  The one and only Gibson factory you can actually visit! So in that respect, it's a must see if you like music, or if you're familiar with the Gibson brand-name. The reason I only gave 4 stars, is because the tour guide went quite fast (he really rattled away throughout the tour). A little more time and slower talking would have been nice. Another reason why I only gave 4 stars, is because you're not allowed to take pictures inside. But like I said: a must-see!

  Well my experience with Gibson is like this. It was awesome! But that being said. Know that I'm not the everyday Gibson guitar factory guest. I go in through the service door. I'm one 0f the outside mechanical techs that service a few of the many large machines inside the factory. And so for anyone wondering about Gibson's Guitar factory located in downtown Memphis, TN. It's a really cool and interesting place to visit open all week. The tour of the plant is 10 bucks a person. Not bad if your into this sorta thing. The guides stay focused and are very informative about what goes beyond the doors of Gibson.

  Pretty neat tour, small store, and they only make electric guitars here, just FYI. I enjoyed seeing the process of making a Gibson. I definitely have a new understanding and appreciation for them. Each one is a unique work of art. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable but appeared to be nervous or something...he kept picking at his left fingers and rubbing his hands on a cloth at the beginning. He also spoke in staccato like sentences and it was very odd and kind of distracting. Super nice and knowledgeable though! No photos allowed inside and no freebies for tour attendees, unlike the Martin Guitar factory.

  A great tour. Our guide was knowledgable. I took the last tour of the day.... there was less production going on, which means you can hear the guide clearly and see a few things you may not otherwise see when production is in full swing.... insiders tip. You cant take photos or video once the tour commences.... a must for any music enthusiast.

  Awesome tour! I recommend going before 2:30, as that's when the factory staff start leaving. I took the 4pm tour and it was still really cool though! I do wish I'd been able to see some things in action.
