::While I didn't get a haircut at Geno's, this review speaks to the man's character. My wife and I arrived in New York from the Midwest with an Airbnb booked right next to Geno's shop. It turns out the owner had been evicted and was lying to Airbnb, and our reservation made months in advance was unaffected by this update. We got the short end of the stick and had to deal with Airbnb/former owner on the phone for about an hour on the street after arriving to an apartment with an eviction notice on it and keys that didnt work. Geno came out of his shop to ask us what was going on since we were there with all our luggage. After listening to our story, he offered to call one of his clients who owns hotels in Manhattan, and this guy hooked us up with a midtown hotel for a big discount. It made a difficult situation completely 180 all thanks to Geno. This man's shop deserves your business. From what I saw inside, it looks fantastic and every haircut coming out looked great. ::My husband goes here and I wait for him to be done. It's beautiful inside, very old school barber vibe, which exactly the kind of manly service he loves. I can sit there and chat with everyone, all the barbers are really friendly.

But, he is also a very interesting person who is engaging and intelligent, and who has a great perspective on what it means to start with nothing, set goals, work hard, and achieve great success.
