DO NOT SUPPORT THIS PLACE. THEY ARE THIEVES. READ WHAT HAPPENED HERE: I am just getting back from dealing with the owner (I believe his name was John) and the jeweler who "fixed" my mother's 18K gold necklace. My mother who is elderly stopped in to get her necklace fixed and upon fixing it, they gave her the wrong necklace. When she realized it was the wrong necklace, she went back to reclaim the correct one and they gave her yet another wrong necklace. The man at the counter admitted it was the wrong necklace and just gave her another one. Turns out they misplaced it... in reality they just screwed her out of a better necklace and left her with a worthless 14K poor excuse of a necklace. It looks like something a 12 yr old girl would wear, my mother's necklace was longer and thicker. These people are not honest. The owner did not attempt to even apologize for the mix up and pleaded that the second rate necklace was my mother's. Instead of apologizing for their mixup, he yelled at me and when I asked him what he was going to do to help us he commenced to act busy and ignored me, indicating they were not going to return the original necklace. They are crooks and my poor old mother got burned for trying to support a local neighborhood business. Will continue to share this story whenever anyone asks for a jeweler recommendation in Maspeth/surrounding neighborhoods. I will suggest ANY place other than Gemelli after this atrocious incident. ***Edit in Response to Owner's comment: Nothing is funny about what happened over one year ago at your establishment and what my mother experienced. And if you're referring to my threats of calling the police then the reason we didn't move forward with that is because you had taken pictures of the fraudulent "repaired" necklace. Unfortunately, we had no "proof" you had swapped the chains. Obviously business is suffering for you, which explains why you have to resort to petty thievery. I actually checked with some contacts in the neighborhood and spoke with someone who used to work at your Fresh Pond location some years back and this person confirmed your criminal, skimming, habits. How are you able to sleep at night? Maybe focus on improving your business and your customer service skills (oh, and stop stealing from customers!) and you'll maybe find a way to stay open in this competitive, Amazon-era environment.

Vinny and John are my wonderful jewelers in NY. John has created beautiful pieces for my Mother and i for years. Vinny always has the best pieces and prices for me. There is nothing better than dealing with honest and carring jewelers and they are just that. Love those guys!

I've always been a fan of having unique and different designs. And whenever something comes to mine for a piece of jewelry, I will attempt to draw it up and show it to the owner at Gemelli and almost without hesitation, he is ready and willing to make it. I don't even think there's been a time he's turned me away saying he's unable to accommodate. At the very least, he'll offer suggestions to help and assist, but will always leave the choice to me. I've been giving amazing prices for things I've always thought were going to be costly. In the (roughly) 20 years I've dealt with Gemelli Jewelers, I can honestly say they have been the best jewelers I've dealt with, the most affordable, and will always be quick to recommend them whenever someone is in need for any jeweling business. Store is very inviting and friendly. Top shelf service from amazing workers!

I’ve had the pleasure of doing business with Gemelli in the past few months. I am a very “happy camper.” Both Vinny and Paul are thorough, helpful, polite, cheerful and very knowledgeable. If you need a beautiful piece of jewelry or something repaired just ask for Vinny or Paul when you stop by!! I would definitely recommend this shop to a friend. Carole Middle Village
