  Gators is one of those places you either love it or you hate it. It is not a typical Dallas establishment. Food is good. Drinks are strong. People are friendly, not your typical downtown crowd. Service can be slow at times. But staff is always friendly. DJs are good. A good hang out spot.

  This bar is in downtown, just steps from West End Station. Easy to find and easygoing ambience. The inside is a bit dim and battered but if you want a place to party, Gator’s is your place. It has a rooftop patio which should be epic. I give it three stars for the look, five for the get-down-and-boogie vibe.

  Had an absolute blast for our birthday get together. Service by Alicia was great. The app samplers and burgers were delicious. Burgers were seasoned great and homemade - you could tell easily. Great ciabatta bread.

  I normally don't even care enough to leave a review, good or bad, but our experience was worthy of a bad review. Friday of last weekend, a great weather day, and someone outside drawing a crowd in and up to the rooftop. Seemed like a great idea. First issue was the CO2 running out at the bar and no more draft beer (drafts were $4.50, bottles were $6.00, which is a frigging crime!) Second issue was that our waiter (who honestly did the best he could) was speaking with another waiter about splitting the tables on the patio... that other waiter never came back out, and our guy got slammed. Third issue was a group of teenagers who couldn't figure out where they wanted to sit, changed tables twice and then went inside. This was probably the thing that did everyone in... the bartender had to take this table, and of course they all demanded split checks. Fourth issue was that our food took close to 2hrs to come out because the teenage fiasco's order got put in ahead of ours, and we were told multiple times that it "was coming soon". When we were finally able to eat, we were all so hungry that we inhaled everything, which wasn't all that stellar to begin with, and had to leave in a hurry... our afternoon was a bit busted and we had other plans. Bottom line, is that they were in no way staffed or prepared to be busy... on a sunny Spring afternoon. All we got was a 20% discount, that I had to initiate the negotiation of. We certainly will never be back to Gator's.

  Landed in Dallas on Friday and met my friends at Gators Dallas! We liked it so much that we came back Saturday and Sunday! The food and drink we’re stellar!! Our server Bailey, was very hospitable and made us feel as though we were at home! She was friendly and made great conversation(s). Next time we are in Dallas we will be sure to visit Gators Dallas and Bailey!
