  Place was awesome. They were doing a little remodeling in the reception but once we got to the rooms it was heaven from there. The rooms were so clean and the bathrooms were so nice. Definitely will be coming back

  Amazing staff and really one of the best views of downtown San Diego! The rooftop patio is the perfect place to relax and watch the a sunset. The panoramic shot is from their rooftop patio.

  Staff are very friendly and seem keen to help you out in any way that they can. It is clear that the building is quite old, although they have a programme of restorations and renovations coming up within the next couple of months, so maybe next time I visit, maybe it won't look quite so tired. The rooms themselves are comfortable enough, if a little small. They are kept pretty clean and tidy and they have all of the basic amenities you would need. One complaint on my part, if you're going to put a note in the bathroom about reusing the towels if you hang them back up, then follow it. Several times I have hung the towels up during my stay and have had fresh towels every day. I understand what others have said about noise and room position. I guess I was quite lucky in having an internal room, so didn't have that issue, but you do sacrifice a usable window (before anyone picks me up on that, yes, there is a window, but it looks in to what appears to be a pigeon breeding area😒) Breakfast, okay, that's definitely a weak area for the hotel. You have very little choice, the fruit juice tastes watered down and I really don't like using paper plates/bowls and plastic cutlery (call me fussy). Overall, the Gaslamp Plaza Suites is a decent budget hotel, but with a little bit of effort on smoothing out some of the rough edges it could be so much better.

  We really enjoyed our stay here. We were lucky to get a very nice room (609) where we had quite some space in the room. Everything was clean and the staff very helpful. The breakfast was not special, but having it on the roof terrace was very nice! Definitely a recommendation

  If anyone is looking for great deals on hotels go to HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around... The customer service here was amazing. I am unsure of the woman at the front but she has a wonderful personality! They also held my bags before check-in and after check-out. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who is staying in the downtown area. It is close to the airport and also in the Gaslamp district. I was very happy with my room, and the amenities that were in it. The rooftop was a plus as well. There are homeless people in the area but I felt completely safe at the hotel.
