::Asked for a fill up, cash. Attendant hit the $6.04 mark and then my tank was full, and then "topped me off" until he hit $7. Gas pumps have an overflow valve in them to prevent over-filling the tank. "Topping me off" to the tune of an extra dollar is the equivalent of throwing the money away, since NONE of it actually ends up in your tank. Keep an eye on these guys if you're paying cash.
