Visited in August of 2017 and got C diff from the smoked fish dip. It was the only thing me and another person in my party both ate, and we both got horribly sick. C diff is a bacteria from fecal matter that is very resistant to antibiotics. I was put on major antibiotics to get well. I will never go here again, and I warn everyone I meet to never go here. On top of that my meal had numerous scales in it. Just nasty from top to bottom. The fishy smell from the market is a huge, huge red flag I should not have ignored. It's hard to stomach the thought of eating seafood after this place.

Have been coming here for years. When in season they have great grouper sandwiches. This is a Miami staple for fresh local seafood and having a nice view of the Miami river also adds to why I like this place aside from the food. If you haven’t been to Garcia’s you have to go at least once.

We were pretty regular guests, but lately it has not been as good as it used to be. The last time we were there, we arrived on the boat. The place was empty (strange) and there was an odor that was a mix between cleaning solution sewage and garbage - not pleasant during a meal. We moved around to see if it was better from a different seat, no such luck. We finished lunch quickly and headed out. We may give it one last try in the future, but it has come off our list of go-to spots because of the last visit.

Horrible food! The fish was not seasoned well at all; sides weren't that great either. My salad tasted un- rinsed and I specifically asked for well done, extra crispy fish and it was not salted (seasoned) and very soggy. Sorry Garcia's, you are in a perfect location but the whole seafood Mart downstairs and horribly seasoned food is a no go! THUMBS DOWN! I must add though, that my waiter was super nice, prompt and courteous. That's about the ONLY thing this place has going good for it- the service. Food made me SICK- LITERALLY.
