::I recently took an Intro to Taiko Drumming class at this location; what a fun experience. I grew up drumming and so it wasn't difficult for me, but no one else had any drum experience and the instructor, Eileen, was able to show people who have NEVER done anything like this how to do so. She made it fun, funny, and educational, and at the end of 90 minutes we all knew a short four-measure drum tune using various drum techniques. And never underestimate the therapeutic value of hitting big drums with sticks very hard and making loud noises :)

::Eileen Morgan is the sensei of this dojo, and she and Fushicho Daiko have been running for 25 years. The classes are superb - you learn SO much! It really is a great place to get a workout and learn Japanese history and tradition! Not to mention you make friends and help serve the community.

::Eileen Morgan has built the most amazing community around the art of Taiko, Japanese Ensemble Drumming. Her passion for this dynamic artform, her ability to understand and adapt to a wide variety of learning needs and teaching styles and her unrelenting, indomitable hard work, make participating in classes here a complete joy. You will always come away from a class feeling that you have worked hard, had fun and learned something. The dojo teams participate in numerous local festivals and performance opportunities.
