  I’m from NY and was in San Diego on vacation. My boyfriend and I are huge sushi fans and were looking for a place that met our standards. Full Moon blew us away!! It’s fresh, full of flavor, and the presentation was spot on. We usually judge a good sushi spot by the quality of their Uni. You can’t compare to fresh local wild caught uni. It was beyond good and fresh!!!! Best thing on the menu. This is a must go to spot if you are in the Gaslamp area.

  Guys... this place rocks. The entire Full Moon team was stellar from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. Saki selection was spectacular and the ecommendations were spot on from our server, Norma. Sushi presentation was above expectations and delicious. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great dining experience

  A must try for sushi lovers. The fish is fresh. All dishes are delicious. The only downfall is not enough food is served on your plate for the price. So be prepared to order a lot of dishes to satisfy your stomach. But over all its Delicious.

  So good! We've been incredibly fortune to travel to Japan several times. No joke, this spot is the most authentic to experiences we had in Japan. We had the chef's selections on the special menu of exotic sashimi. Mind blown. And our waiter, Jarvis, was wonderful! Knowledgeable, funny, efficient . We will be back with friends!

  We waited an hour for a seat that had been empty since we arrived. Service was mediocre at best. Our waitress had no idea what was going on, forgot about us, and tried to offer us complimentary dessert after we told her we weren't interested in it. One waiter was giving a group of girls dirty looks. The thing that saved this place from one star to two, was that the waiter helping the couple next to us was funny, had great recommendations, and explained specials. He was so passionate about his job, I though he would have owned the place. Everyone else didn't care or was a snob!
