  RUN!!! DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD TO THIS SCHOOL IF YOU TRULY LOVE YOUR CHILD AND CARE ABOUT THEIR EDUCATION. BUT!!! If you are ok with unprofessional, ghetto, ignorant staff members that don't care about your child, send your child here. If you approve of a staff that does not network with each other regarding your child's learning and likes arguing with you and retaliating against you because you speak up about the unprofessional ignorant stuff they do such as loosing completed homework (on a regular basis) and giving your child a failing grade when the teacher is the one who lost it, and you have proof the teacher lost it, this school is for you. If you are ok with going back and forth to the school because the teachers don't know what they are doing regarding your child's education and you have to keep fighting every week for your child to have a quality education, send your child here. If you are ok with teachers making rude comments to you when you walk by them because you are a concerned parent who speaks up, this school is for you. If you are ok with retaliating teachers/staff who blatantly talks about you to each other in front of your face, or teachers who make unprofessional comments about you (the parent) in front of your child while your child is in class supposed to be learning because you filed a legit complaint against them, this school is for you. If you are alright with the head of school or Executive Director not addressing your concerns and defending their staff....... By all means, this is the school for you. This is a poor sorry excuse for a school that operates as an institution, and I know many people who removed their kids. These people are supposed to be educators but instead they act like BUMS off the street!!! These staff members know who they are just to name a few(Shakeeta, Darryl M, Hank, Steve, Chris Z, Kelly, Chris H, Karen, Aharon S, April, Maggie, Mike B, Sherill). Enough parents are not speaking up about this institution. My child has succeeded greatly after being removed from this school. I am also dealing with a more professional, mature caring staff at my child's new school.

  This school has very high and standards and if your child isn't that good at a subject they won't care at all. They give a test every week even if you literally just learned the material. A few weeks ago an eight grade girl performed oral sex on an eight grade male and if weren't for a student, the staff wouldn't have known because they have no cameras in the classrooms, like isn't that a safety hazard? They also have very unprofessional staff like Sheril who is ghetto and threatens to get her daughters on students. She is very loud and obnoxious and she curses up a storm!

  Keep looking for another school for your child. They DO NOT care about the kids at this school. The Head of School is a 32 yr old joke and defends his teachers. The teachers and staff are rude, spiteful, and highly unprofessional and the higher administration (Executive Director, Board of Directors) is even worst which is why the staff is messed up!! When you try to work with the Head of School and administration regarding your child's learning, they give you a hard time and make it seem like you are the problem because you are not the type of parent who will let stuff "slide". You also have to be a parent who consistently stays on them about your child's learning because if you don't, your child will get left back at Freire. I have had to file many complaints against this school along with taking a parent advocate to the school with me so my child can receive a right education without interference. Many parents at the school are just "happy" to have their child in a school and won't speak up about what's "really" going on at Freire Charter Middle School. It got so bad I removed my son and put him in a better school where he is now doing much better and the staff is much more professional.

  My daughter graduates from here this year, what an AMAZING 4 years it was!! I LOVE this school, very pleasant staff and school! They are really there for the children. They will do EVERYTHING to help your child move forward and succeed. I have not once out of the 4 years of my child going here see one teacher that did not give 100% to make sure that their students made it to the next grade, and I so appreciate all the staff for that! Freire Charter Middle doesn't tolerate crap from these students and we ALL know as parents how difficult dealing with our children can be... SO HATS OFF TO THE ENTIRE STAFF!!!!Whelp off to Freire High for the next venture.

  I go to this amazing sometimes annoying school but overall the adult do everything that they can to teach or help you understand something until u get it
