  i bought a video card and it does not even work i also bought a monitor and it worked for 5 mins the the screens filled with lines hooked my old one up and it works just like it did before i will not buy anything from there again

  This is a great non profit. They have helped my classroom and robotics team at Roosevelt. At a fraction of the cost of new I was able to refurbish 80 laptops to go 1 to 1 and put our labs online. I buy laptops from them to give to my students on graduation. I got both my PC and Mac laptops from them and I love them. There are a couple of things you need to know. They test all of there components as good as anyone can, but they are used. Occasionally you may get a dud. I have had a couple over the last four years and they have always taken care of me beyond my satisfaction. Due to the end user licence agreement of Windows software, they can't resell computers with Windows on them already. The computers come with a distribution of Linux. If you have an android phone you are already using it. I use it in my classroom because it is secure and there are virtually no viruses or malware. If you really want windows get a machine with a windows code on it or in the bios and install it yourself. You can get the install software from Microsoft's website. Its a fun place to volunteer and learn about tech. I'm always learning something new there.

  Great place to recycle computers, monitors, etc. Great place tok find deals on used and refurbished items. Great cause too.

  I couldn't find info on the website about how to donate my old monitor, but I just showed up during the listed open hours. I wandered around though the maze of computer components until I saw someone i could ask. He led me to a backroom where I unpacked my donation, then he thanked me, then I headed out. Fast and easy, plus now my broken monitor won't go in a landfill! Note that the door is the one right off the parking lot, on the same side of the building as the giant sign, rather than an obvious store front.
