Fred Meyer has the widest selection of products with the most lowest prices. You could spend an entire afternoon just sampling all of the different department's in the store. If you are concerned about the thickness of your wallet when you leave the check out stand then you may want to stay away from the more yupped up competitors in the Pearl. Several of the more expensive grocer's have beautiful presentations making the foods look absolutely marvelous to the unfortunate result of my buying items I have no use for nor be able to consume before they spoil. The meat department has delicious samples and if you time it correctly you can eat the equivalent of a fair sized dinner (minus the vegetables and appetizers of course) and send you home with a full belly. There is a serious lack of competition in the Pearl which tends to keep the price of staples way too high. Where's a WinCo when you need one?

I was in a rush and the self check out did most things fast but didn't print, wouldn't print, my receipt, stalling my exit. The attendant was sort of close by and got the machine to release me only sort of fast.

This is a fantastic Fred Meyer! Prices are what you would expect from every other FM, it is located right in Downtown, yet is still big enough to have all of the essentials on food (plus more) that you would need. Utilize this store often!

Fred Meyer is a good store. This place is a lot better then before. After Construction is to add the Elevator to the Parking Garage. It’s looks like the Liberty Building Places to eat upstairs. Pretty Cool Place. All Places doesn’t have Plastic Bags why is it only Paper Bags. If it rains it would tear up the Bag. It used to have No Elevator Just Escalators and it also used to have a Hollywood Video Store and now it’s All Fred Meyer and added Papa Murphy’s and On Point Bank. All Blockbusters and Hollywood are All Gone and offer only Netflix or Red Box.

Conveniently located, with a really good produce section. I love the sushi bar, I always get several plates while I am there. I am disappointed that they have done away with the clothing section entirely. I understand the reasoning behind it- smaller location, homeless people ripping the store off, but still a little disappointing. I am also getting really sick of the constant remodeling/rearranging in this store. You never know week to week where things will end up. This makes shopping a hassle, and very annoying. That being said the staff here is very friendly, and always willing to help you find an item ( if they know where it was moved to). The mezzanine is a relaxing place to sit and enjoy lunch from the deli, which has high quality meats and cheeses for your custom sandwiches. The salad bar is always well stocked and has more item options than most grocery store salad bars I have seen. As an added bonus you can grab a coffee from the Starbucks on the way out, there usually isn't much of a line which makes this one of the quicker Starbucks in the area.
