Four Muddy Paws is a fine shop but the groomers should wait until I’m out of earshot to make rude comments about me, I think. Mostly disappointed to be paying $100+ only to hear the groomers making fun of me loudly to each other not knowing I was standing at the checkout. Apparently, texting asking for verification that both dogs that I had dropped off to be groomed were in fact done, was enough for them to question whether I understood grammar. To help them out, yes! My education degree has helped me understand that “the kids are done” equals “the dogs have been groomed” but I was mostly double checking because I was told the previous day when I booked the appointment that dogs take 2.5-3 hours to groom. When I called on the day of my appointment, 3.5 hours after dropping off the dogs, I was told they’d be done at 5pm and that the groomers don’t actually groom them at their appointment time, so it was a little irritating that my dog was bathed and left in the kennel for 4 hours...I made my irritation known on the phone and asked for better communication, suggesting maybe the groomer and cashiers get on the same page. Maybe that earned the comments I heard about me not understanding singular and plural grammar references when I picked the dogs up. Won’t be going back for grooming.

On the huge plus side, the staff is above-and-beyond friendly and helpful. They are all attentive and do their best to accommodate patrons. On the minus side, they have no veg dog products. This may seem silly to a lot of people, but for someone like me, who has had healthy vegetarian/vegan dogs for over 25 years, it is a deal-breaker. And, I am not the only one. There are more and more people who are going veg with their dogs, for ethical AND health and safety reasons. I could be wrong, but I didn't even see any veg treats, much less food. Again, I realize I am in the minority, but veg options would be awesome.

I take my dog here to give him a bath and get his nails trimmed. He hates getting his nails trimmed and whines constantly, but the staff are so nice and gentle with him I know he is in good hands. This is a self-serve bath place so you bathe your dog yourself, which I really like. If you need help though, again the staff are right there and very accommodating. I also really like their selection of treats and snacks, it's much healthier than I can find and most other stores. Also, after my dog's first visit they gave him a little goodie bag with treats and a small bag of dog food, and were very honest and transparent with me about their pet food recommendations. I told them I don't have a huge budget so I can't spend a lot on dog food, but I want to give him something healthy and not full of fillers like corn, and they recommended a few products (even one they don't actually carry) that worked perfectly. Great customer service, very knowledgeable and I am now a repeat customer!

Their treats and toys are great, and the self wash is such a convenience for my big fluffy bear. The people who work there are very knowledgeable, and there natural homemade dog oatmeal shampoo is the Best. My dogs coat is ao soft and it stays soft. Great value.

I took my dog, a Yorkee Mix, here for his 3rd and LAST grooming last week. My dog is difficult to groom because he distracts easily. I was very satisfied with his first grooming...the staff was patient and did a nice job. The second grooming was terrible, nothing like the first. The groomer mangled his beard. Last week, I was specific in how I wanted him groomed, placing emphasis on how I expected his beard to look. He was butchered. He was cut to look like a Chihuahua. Never again.....
