Super family friendly! Grad is watered in the park. Grass is well taken care of which is great for the kids. Military Museum there. Lots of rolling hills and great landscaping. Tables along the side of the beach walk. L&L refreshment stand. Great meals on the beach. Picnic tables, great beach. Restrooms and showers on the beach. Parking across the street and bus stop on property. Nice place for a walk along the beach or check out the flowers and native plants. Great spot in Waikiki.

A nice place in the center of Waikiki to relax and enjoy nature. The beaches are kept clean and we'll lit, so nice for a romantic walk at night, or watch the sunset!

Another great park for location to everything significant. The military Museum is right on the corner which I'm planning on visiting this week sometime. It offers a great deal of shade to escape the sun for a little while. There are several picnic tables for eating your lunch or breakfast. The park opens at 6:00 am at 2:00 am in the morning. It's has a small rental center right on the corner for beach chairs and umbrellas and anything else you need to enjoy the beach. Unfortunately no playground for the kids, but who needs them the pacic ocean is 30 feet away for swimming.

Fort Derussy Beach and the park that is immediately next to the beach is ~at least to a certain extent~ Honolulu's best kept secret. In the early morning hours, the beach is not saturated by people and nasty, noisy kids; and that is one reason why it is delightful. As the sun rises, running in the ocean to play with waves is uplifting. One does not want to stop playing, jumping over, or diving under the waves. Those wise enough to bring a satisfying meal, can continue enjoying Fort Derussy by using the well kept grassy areas just a few steps away from the shoreline. Welcome to Hawai'i !

This is one of the safest beaches on the island this is basically a Marine Base. So they have patrols and you can basically leave your stuff alone without getting it ripped off!
