::I moved here to Sacramento from Canada about 2 1/2 yrs ago. I spent the first 3 months visiting personal trainers, small group training, garage gyms, yoga studios... you name it. I was searching for a place where when I walked in the feeling was - Yep, this is where I belong. I came from a pretty hardcore Kettlebells studio where technique was master and the words "I can't do this" were met by words of encouragement from the whole class and the the whole class would do whatever you thought you couldn't do with you; we were also friends outside the studio - we'd meet for dinner, go see bands, do community work etc. I found that friendship, community spirit, relaxed but "Get ready to leave everything you have on the floor" attitude, great music (sometimes :-)) and best of all - a trainer who is extremely well educated and has the degrees to prove it, keeps current with all new techniques and science, has a wonderful personality and sense of humour, who know not only fitness but NUTRITION. The staff Forest and his wife have brought together come from different backgrounds, all have their own (relate-able) stories, positive energy, the educational background and the desire to be there and to get you to your best level. You have to show up and give it EVERYTHING you have and if you do - you're gonna love it. This will be the best 45 mins of your day.
