  Good subs. A little on the expensive side, but better quality meats than typical fast food sub places.

  We had a grilled chicken and a ribeye streak sub and they were delicious with Brad that had just the right amount of crustiness about it . The fries were excellent also.

  I feel like I go to Fontano's at least once a week! The subs are generous and the staff and owners are friendly. Step off of Michigan Ave into a true neighborhood favorite. Don't know what to get? Start with the Wiseguy with everything on it plus giardiniera. You can't go wrong!

  I would highly recommend this location for the Italian Beef with mild peppers. This by far was probably the best food we experienced while in Chicago. In fact we went back a second time for the Italian Beef as it was very tasty. If you are taking the food to go, i would recommend you get it "dry" with the juice on the side. This will keep the bun from getting soaked until you are ready to enjoy. We got 6" subs and they were extremely filling. They provided generous amount of beef and peppers. The price seems reasonable for Chicago and the staff was very friendly.

  Good, reasonably priced and fast. I had the eggplant sandwich and it was delicious. It's not fancy but very convenient and tasty.
