Would not recommend this bank. They lure you in with a 0% intro offer and when you use it you are penalized by reducing your credit limit to almost the exact amount you owe - making it appear that you maxed the card out. This should be investigated for predatory lending as you are trying to cause people to have bad credit so that you can profit off of higher interest rates. Additionally the website is always down. Customer service is lacking. I have to ask the question multiple times for them to even understand what I’m asking and then I still get a generic response that doesn’t really give me what I asked. Oh and then they still send you offers in the mail for new cards just to deny you. This “bank” should be shut down.

They mailed me a credit card that was fully activated in the mail. It was stolen before it arrived to my address. $29,000 was spent on the credit card which only was supposed to have a $10k limit. FNBO says that I am responsible and they will not be waiving the charges. Immediately, I closed all accounts with FNBO and will be filing a police report and seeking legal counsel. Stick with a real bank like Chase, BoA, or Wells Fargo.

Closing accounts and not giving a reason. BSA has there own research. Sounds like you don't respect your customers political views.

While CS reps seem to be cordial, they do not follow up. Not completely their fault. They use a call center that takes calls, they have no personal or professional email accounts associated with the bank as to be able to connect that way or leave a paper trail. All my transactions of customer care is done through the phone, if their system is down at the time, you will be asked to call back at another time. ( Already had a 5-10 min wait time to start with to just get to the nice lady, who unfortunately could not help me) What was my problem? Problem was that I needed a mortgage statement to do a new financing on another home, since I auto-pay my mortgage on line, the paper statements that come are reviewed and get destroyed. I was looking for one to be emailed to me so I could fwd onto the new Mortgage company I was working with. Or at least be able to add the mortgage account to my current login account with FNBO, (credit card), but despite the recommendation of the CS rep, that option wasn't possible as well bc the website has no ability to input this, other than a credit card, so not for mortgage accounts. I have read the reviews online and frankly am slightly dismayed at the low ratings. This doesn't seem to be their fault, but like any large organization these are things that fall through the cracks. The demand is too large for the small amount of personnel to handle the needs. Sorry, but I can only give a rating of 2 stars.

Even though we had been a customer for over 10 years. FNBO decided to close our account without notice. Not a very good customer service experience. The platinum Visa we had was a great card when we got it @ 7.99%. But when the economy went in the toilet in 2008 they raised the rate to 19.99% and never lowered it again. They never offered balance transfers or lower rates again. Now they wonder why we used the card so little. Hadn't been used in over 2 years. So they just closed the account due to inactivity. If they want activity than they should put out some offers once in a while. Bye bye FNBO. NO BIG LOSS.
