  Stayed at the Whitcomb for the first time and got to dine at their restaurant for breakfast and dinner. The food and wine pairing was excellent, as was the service. Prior to dinner I enjoyed a cocktail at the bar. The bartender was friendly and skilled. Highly recommend.

  An exceptionally average establishment. The staff are helpful and friendly, the location is very convenient if you are going to one of the local theaters, but there is nothing outstanding about it. Our meals were of a reasonable size, but did not stand out as anything special, especially considering the cost of each plate. We didn't sample anything from the bar and from other reviews that may be the highlite of the establishment. The bathrooms are a bother. They are situated in the common entryway surrounded by the street, Florinda's, Starbucks, and the hotel desk. You have to get a card-key to get in and they seem to be watched by folks who want to get in (Starbucks customers, transients, etc). I don't want to be the police for someones bathroom and it's uncomfortable to deal with "hold the door" or "let me in". The first time I used the room a guy surfed in right after me (was I supposed to slam the door in his face?) and when I exited there was a security guard giving me the stink eye.
