  The room on the 7th floor had great views and was massive. The building is old and you can tell with all the extra sounds of aging. The tv is extremely small and very far away from the bed due to the size of the room. You also don't get any sports channels except for the local stations. The bar downstairs does have some great food and the drink prices are not bad. It is a 15min walk to the Tampa convention center and to the water, so near a lot of options.

  Beautifully restored 1920s hotel with a spectacularly ornate restaurant. I took several students there for lunch and had great service and a surprisingly small check, especially since the kids ordered from the children's menu. But their burgers weren't kid-sized. They were a great value, especially considering how generous the portions were.

  We always love staying at the Floridan Palace. This is our third time here and we will be back. The service is excellent and they also have a beautiful restaurant where they serve some great food. Some of my favorites are their authentic Greek salad and either their French onion soup or the lobster bisque. They also serve some great sandwiches and a whole lot more. The hotel is close to museums and the Tampa Theater, as well as the river walk. We have really enjoyed it every time that we have stayed here!

  This is a BEAUTIFUL hotel that is located in downtown. Everything is within a 10-15 min walk. The hotel decor is impeccable and gorgeous; You feel like you've walked into the roaring 20s but you have the all the comfort and amenties of the 21 century. The restaurant is really nice, the food is presented beautifully, and the staff is super friendly. The food is moderately priced. I wouldn't say it is cheap, but it is worth every penny. The chocolate cake is SUPERB. The bar is a fun place to relax and chat. The rooms are huge and very clean. I absolutely loved staying here and the staff makes you feel like family. I would recommend this hotel to everyone!

  Beautiful lobby but it kind of stops there. Sheets feel like sandpaper, pillows are cheap overstuffed poly, tiny TV with no cable attached to a side wall of the room with no ability to swivel it for proper viewing. I also came back to my room with it half clean. Towels were replaced but beds weren't made. Note: when you want to enjoy the view of that lobby with a drink you will want to get there early as the bar closed at 9pm the Wednesday night I tried. Won't be back.
