::No church deserves a five star rating. First Presbyterian Church of Arlington is a church in transition. That's a good thing. The alternative is to suggest we have arrived or we are stagnant. Frankly, there are no Super Christians in our family of believers. There are, however, a lot of people just like me: wanting to be more than we are; often failing; grateful for God's mercy; and wanting to share the wonder of His grace in our lives. I am encouraged in my journey by the mutual acceptance I experience here and the encouragement to identify and use my spiritual gifts and to be conformed to the image of Christ. My fellow church members encourage me when I see so many tutoring underprivileged children or reaching out to a family in need or visiting sick or home-bound. In fact, I'm encouraged just to walk down the halls and experience the joy as we come together as family to worship and serve. We are in transition and I believe it is toward our most glorious days of committed service.
