  Was looking for a map of all the prisons in the path of hurricane Harvey and i saw this unit. I am praying for all the men/women housed in this unit and for the staff. May God protect them, strengthen them, and their families, give them faith and courage of a lion. May they call for His protection and His guidance. May the Lord protect them all and show His love and mercy to them all. Amen.

  I woumder how many people are in here for marijuana probley over 15% prisons lile this stay open so that big phrma the world's biggest legal drug dealers is back by the DEA to put people in prison so they dont have anybody stepping in on their money they could be making

  This facility is an excellent experience. I stayed in the Houston FDC from 2000-2010 and was treated with nothing but respect and care. The staff are helpful and kind and accommodated to my every need. The dining experience is incredible, with fresh, hot meals served every day. The people there are very nice as well. I made many friends, some of whom are still there. While staying here I was allowed to make phone calls to my loving husband and my ex-wife and our children. While there, I was completely rehabilitated. I will never even consider punching a mailman ever again. I highly recommend this facility. 5 stars for sure!

  My husband has been there since the 9 th of January! Transferred from another facility! He has been denied of his phone rights and can't even call his attorneys or me collect, nothing! Attorneys have been down there and they have been lied to by staff saying there is no hold on his phone account! I've been down there twice and told the same thing, and that as a matter of fact they were going to get my husband to call me! Never happened! I've been trying to call facility for a long time now, and nobody ever answers! But when I have been there, there has been a lot of staff just sitting in front office! How hard is it to pick up phone!! Had my first visit other day and was treated very ugly! They act like I'm the inmate! Also inmates aren't to be treated like crap! They are human beings like everybody else! That's how my husband is being treated! He is not an animal, and if you read the website it says they encourage the inmates be able to make calls to loved ones including their kids, write letters, email etc! By the way this facility is being ran, all that you see on website is a lie! They don't give a damn about these people! They are encouraged that way they will have less problems with them, and when they get out they know they have somebody out there tha has cared the whole time! I can't even get ahold of the warden! My first and last time visiting had me in tears! Not because my husband, but because the staff in the front! That's like taking a job caring for the elderly just for a paycheck not really caring about the people! This is why the system is so F'd up! Then they wonder why!
