  Took the day off work to bring my car in and they canceled the appointment on me without prior notification. “Come back next week” was the best they could offer.

  EDIT: After expressing my dissatisfaction with my experience, the owner reached out to me himself and worked with me to get me what I needed. I appreciated the effort and was relieved to finally get my car in "pass" status. Far East Motors will work with you when you need it! I came to get a car inspection and had a pleasant experience the first time. I was told by the owner, Mr. Moser, that my rear shocks were leaking but that everything else looked great. Their prices were too high for my law student budget so I went elsewhere to get the issue fixed. I came back (granted over a month later but with nothing new except the issue I got fixed) and I was given a list of other issues - this time by the manager -(minor things like a small crack in the windshield and a rear reflector broken). Mind you, these "issues" were all there the first time I took it but they were not pointed out. Now they refuse to pass it because of these two things that were present the first time I brought the car in. Needless to say I am extremely disappointed with this. I had a good experience the first time but not worth the headache I'm having now.I don't recommend.

  Can't say enough great things about this place. Watchman was the guy's name that was helping us through most of our repairs on both our Minivan and our Mini Cooper. How often can you say that you trust your mechanic? Well I can. And that makes me a customer for life! They were fast at fitting us in, and even though they were totally full they were able to squeeze me in to get my inspection done on time (because I was a slacker and procrastinated until the very last day!) They were kind/courteous, helpful, and worked with me to find the BEST solution to our mechanical needs. They were fair in price, knowledgable, and I honestly couldn't be happier with our results. This is one of those places that is a diamond in the rough... they didn't try to pressure me in to fixing anything either. They gave me options of "important stuff to fix" vs. "stuff that can wait"... which was invaluable to me. I'm so glad we found them!

  Exemplary atmosphere, communication and service. I took my older Nissan there for a second opinion on a long list of work another shop had recommended. Paul, the very pleasant assistant manger, gently informed me that the car might not be worth investing more money, and recommended one test to verify. The verdict was indeed that it required more work than it had life left, and they recommend it was time for a trade-in. Clean, friendly office/ waiting room. Professional and reliable.

  My wife's car had been having the same ongoing issues over the past year. We had taken it to 2 other mechanics, one was a large dealership and one was a small mom and pop who previously did work on my car. Both were unsure of what the problem was, however the large dealership told me they eventually "fixed" it. Three months and hundreds of dollars spent later, we were back at square one. I saw good reviews about Far East and gave them a shot. They were amazing! Had the car dropped off after hours and received a call first thing the next morning. Paul was able to diagnose the issue the same day and had parts ordered and installed within 48 hours. All around great experience. Reasonably priced, knowledgeable, professional and prompt! Car runs great!
