  Do not waste your time with Family Optometry. My prescription was written out in reverse . Left eye was right eye ~ Right eye was left eye. Maybe because I did not buy glasses from them they did this. I went to Lenscrafters on 81st and 2nd to have my glasses made. Ask Robert about the prescription which was written backwards from Family Optometry. I mistakenly provided the wrong insurance card at the time of my visit - Maria the claims manager is refusing to resubmit my claim with my vision insurance. The office help is not friendly ~ Rude is a word which comes to mind. Stay away from this horrible excuse of a vision provider.

  Modest "family-oriented" selection of conventional frames, mix of modern and old-fashioned equipment, and typical counter-girls-cum-office-assistants on cozy nondescript premises (which décor is rather refreshing, in a way; no fancy-schmancy imagery on the walls of metrosexuals modeling the latest designs that look like recycled styles for fools who blindly follow fashion trends). However, the attractive young doctor's very friendly and informative, educating patients on eye health if they're interested...probably her own practice, which would explain the personal touch! So I think I'll be a repeat customer due to the doctor's "bedside manners," the feeling that I'm actually being cared for here!
