It's kinda cluttered and oddly set up. But the staff is friendly, they always have what I need, and you can't beat those prices. Oh also, this location seems to really stay on top of the smart coupon items. They've never been out of a sale item I came for. High fives for that. EDIT: I was in there a couple days ago, and the place has recently been through a hell of a renovation. It's spacious and so well organized it looks like they knocked down some walls to make it bigger! (They didn't of course, but wow what a difference in there now!) Changing my four stars to five.

Screaming poor customer service, starting with store manger. I am amazed how a each store has the ability to change the return/exchange policy day to, when the corporate policy is posted online. I went to return some unused Christmas gift with my receipt on S.Claiborne Ave. that was purchase from another store within the city. On Dec. 27, the manager at the Claiborne store was willing to return the item, however he took about 10 minutes trying calculate the amount that needed to be credited. It was a credit card purchase and I did not have the card at that time. I left the store and returned the next day with the items and card, thinking it would be a simple return, hell no it was not that simple. I was told by the female Asst. Manager that the rule is that you most return the items to the purchase store, she was instructed my her store manager it was a new rule. Screaming 'UNBELIEVABLE!!!!'. Question? Where is this policy written? It is not each store makes up there on rules regarding inventory. I pulled up the return policy on line, no such thing. She refused to call the store manager, stated he never answers his phone. So today, I will try an return these items..... To be continued

The cashiers are youthful and inattentive. Never enough people on the register with long lines...They have a guy standing by the door all the time....what does he do??? He certainly doesn't help on the register.... at all - let's say never, no matter how long the line or lines are.....they scream throughout the store to find another willing...yes willing - shall I call them associates???....to get to come to the front of the store, to help actual people patronizing, Family Dollar. They (the associates) are usually talkative and lively to one another (about personal business..weaves, dates, babies daddies, dating, going on break, boyfriends, etc...) behind the register and lack any and all types of customer service education. Smile, ask the customer how they are, or say hello (just to acknowledge the person giving up their hard earned dollars, at least) and then ring up the purchase....not just bag my purchase in silence and then give me the total, I can see it as it is being rung up. I have never seen a manager at this store step up and help....never. I have come here to the Claiborne facility - this location out of necessity (right off the Claiborne exit and right on my way home) and on numerous occasions and kick myself every time I go back...I have to be a glutton for punishment. Corporate needs to step in and revamp. Do something, anything!!!! EVERYONE needs a job understood...but not everyone is suited for CUSTOMER SERVICE......Unfortunately, unfortunate.
