::I couldn't believe how filthy the store was. It doesn't look like anyone has ever swept or mopped the store in years! They had a radio blaring on one of the shelves. The workers were just as loud.

::The place is always under stocked and dirty! I came in here twice with the see-through bag and was practically tackled and told to leave it at the front!!as see through and had water bottles in it!! One staff member sat in the middle of the floor blaring music and took her sweet time coming to the register!! very unprofessional very under stocked very dirty nobody's ever in charge!! Now having said that I haven't been in months and it was always females working! I recently went there and a young was there and he works the register! He is fantastic and it seems to have been improving! let's hope it stays that way!

::A few weeks ago, my wife was at the Family Dollar store in Newport, and had an extremely negative experience. Amongst her many purchases, was a single area rug, which was in a package, specifically labeled as a single rug. While checking out, the female clerk advised my wife, that there was not one, but two rugs, in the packaging, sarcastically saying, "I know for a fact, that there are two rugs in there, so I'll be charging you for two rugs." So my wife, taking the word, of the obnoxious young woman, accepted that for face value, so an additional $20.00 was tackled on, to the already $125.00 sub total. After my wife returned to our car, she opened the package, finding only the single rug. She immediately went back into the store, and confronted 'Miss Know It All' about the issue, and the clerk had the audacity to call my wife a liar, accusing her of removing the Non-Existent second rug. My wife left the store, and when we arrived at home, I emailed the Corporate Office, explaining the situation. It's been nearly a month now, and we haven't heard from them, in spite of all the documentation that we provided. This is no way to do business, especially to senior citizens, on a tight budget.
