This is a really nice park in, an upscale area. I'm a Clifton Heights resident too; I like this park.

Easily accessible off of West McMillan. Nice views of Mill Creek Valley, Union Terminal, OTR and Downtown Skyline. No hiking trails.

Beautiful view of the city. A very quiet place to bring a friend or family to enjoy the day or just for a brief visit. I definitely keep coming back time and time again. Easy parking all over and many places to walk and enjoy nature.

While Fairview does sometimes need some TLC for upkeep, I am giving it five stars for the potential it has, and what it already offers. My wife and I live in the area, and take our son to Fairview all of the time. First of all, we have never felt unsafe in the park, so I am not sure to what other reviewers are referring. Yes, sometimes there are crowds for events, and it gets loud, but parks are supposed be used for that, so that is never something I think of as a negative. The major constructive piece I can think of, is that the city dialed back on what is offered, by taking out the pool, and some basketball hoops a few years ago, but hopefully the park can become a priority for renovation after the city finishes its major park projects downtown. A bathroom and drinking fountain would also be nice to have as well. On the pros side, the walk along Fairview Park Road is a nice little distance, and gives a great overlook onto the city from several perspectives. Our son loves the playground, and there is always a great diversity of people who are there; my wife and I oftentimes find ourselves having great conversation with parents while our kids play together. There is a well-utilized basketball hoop and there are also fields for soccer, baseball/kickball, though the city could do a better job of keeping them better kept more often. Overall, this park is a great asset to the neighborhood, and I'm a proud supporter of it.
