Went by the Lexington Market primarily to visit Faidley’s. Construction is still underway. The original location is very close so no biggie to walk a few minutes. They serve the best crab cakes we’ve ever had and this isn’t the first Maryland lump crab crakes we’ve had either…not just in Baltimore but around Maryland as well. My only wish is that we had more time and that prices weren’t as high but prices are a sign of the times that I don’t hold blame at this family owned establishment. If ever I’m anywhere near, I’d love to stop by again. I’d recommend the same to anyone that wants to put to test the idea of a what they think a great crab cake tastes like…then watch Faidley’s set your new standard for excellence.

Best crab cakes ever!!! That is a very bold statement, but I have never tasted anything quite like Faidley’s crab cakes. The crab cakes alone makes me drive hours from NY to Maryland. Once you savor one of these crab cakes, any crab cakes you will eat can never compare. I guarantee you that. The sides are also phenomenal and a good compliment to the crab cakes. The set meal makes it a celebration when you visit Faidley’s. But Faidley’s is not just about their crab cakes, they also have a vast array of seafood like fish, oysters and whole crabs. It is an experience worth going to Baltimore for.

Crab cake wasn't bad, wished there was more crab and texture was less mushy. Definitely some good flavors though. The cucumber salad was very sweet, prefer a bit better balance with vinegar. Coleslaw was good, a bit too saucy though. Whole platter was roughly $30, which is a tad price-y for the small portions.

This stand is part of the big food hall, and is located to the left of the entrance. The stall on the right is much busier but it served mostly fried seafood. The steam pot platter I got here had two crabs, 1/2 lb of Texas shrimp, and a dozen clams. I upgraded the two crabs to the extra large size which was definitely worth it. I also added a half dozen oysters. The oysters were very mild but big and meaty. This shop recycles the empty shells and put them back in the bay, which I think is really cool.

We went to Lexington Market and tried some of Faidleys Seafood. We ordered two Lump Crab Cake with French Fries and Fried Shrimp with French Fries. The Lump Crab Cake was cooked perfectly, fresh, hot and taste like a Crab Cake. The Lump Crab Cake size was okay but the French Fries portion was a bit too small to have added to the side, it would be great if you could get more French Fries on the side. Nothing was special about the shrimp and French Fries just another small amount. Staff was attentive, welcoming, friendly and helpful. We park at Republic Parking (Market Center Parking Garage) next door to Lexington Market. This parking garage was affordable and convenient when shopping at Lexington Market.
