  Perhaps they can do closets, but they cannot do built-in shelving. This company sold us a bill of goods for a "beautiful" and "custom" set of built-in shelving for the living room of our late ninteenth century brick townhouse in Brooklyn. First, nothing is built onsite. They tweak IKEA style cabinets at the "shop"--supposedly to measure--and then shove them up against your wall using cheap materials. The shelves were attached using plastic things which were unsightly. The end product looks worse than do-it-yourself options, and they will look significantly different than the artistic rendering provided. Cheap materials. Cheap. Cheap. The owner/lead designer is persuasive but not honest. We asked for a face-to-face meeting after we saw huge gaps between the shelves and the wall (3 inches). He ignored the request and never came back in-person to the site. Different installers were sent on different occasions. When confronted about the issues they just tried to lean on their bogus contract which they claims Indicated that they can only do 90 angles and that our walls were too "distorted" for a proper installation. Timing-wise the shelves were supposed to take a couple of days. After four weeks of begging them to come back to finish install, they "cancelled other clients" to show up an hour and a half late. They covered nothing to protect our furniture or entryways. We fired them after 4 weeks of torment. They were simply awful. Do yourself a favor and find a built-in provider who is a carpenter. Ask to see other work. Don't waste your time on this, exploitive, dishonest, terrible outfit. Though I do not have proof, given my person experience and the overly-euphoric, yoga-instructor-like language of the other reviews, I think some of them are fake. Maybe it's time for a helping of truth.

  The best experience I have had, 1. Best prices, you can't find better, 2. Great knowledge about their business, 3 Very flexible, especially Henry. Helped us out A LOT, with a payment plan. If something isn't right they will gladly replace or re-do it, no questions asked. Very pleasant and helpful on the phone. Also we had shopped around for the doors we wanted in the area, but the price were so high, it was very fortunate for those guys to start making doors for their excellent closets! Had some dings on the shelve's parts but the guys replaced it in no-time, same with huge glass doors. Highly recommend!! A+++

  I wanted to find a place that can make my room my Utopia of sorts. I am very much into antique styles and came across this gem European Closet & Cabinet. The showroom was spectacular with so much to see and to take into consideration! The staff was helpful with my vision and helped me make it into a reality. After staring and debating on various designs (a few hours) I decided on one vintage style set that made me feel as if I stepped into the past. This will be the first stop next time I need an interior makeover.

  Moved into a new apartment with my boyfriend in Greenpoint. This is the first time we've lived together and we found out rather quickly that we have A LOT of stuff. I needed to get things organized or I was going to go insane! I called European Closet and Cabinet to help us organize our bedroom closet. I was able to get a consultation with in a couple of days, and finalize plans by the week's end. The workers came in and did a great job: now we have a place for our shoes, coats, my boyfriend's suits and all of my things. Everything has its place, and the closet looks great! Would recommend for sure.

  I first heard of European Closet & Cabinet from a good friend of mine who has some beautiful furniture in his apartment. He suggested them because of the fine job they did with his living space. So the next morning, I called them and set up an appointment. I was living in a new small house and wanted it to look as well-done as possible. They were very helpful and clear over the phone, and it was like I was actually with them. When we got together at the store, they understood exactly what I was hoping for and sketched out the design to fit my needs perfectly. The construction was finished about a week ago and I’ve yet to have a single visitor that hasn’t complimented the décor that they’ve assembled. I strongly recommend this to anyone interested in having a beautiful home.
