I donā€™t know if I just got a bad instructor or what because there are a lot of 5 star reviews which is actually the whole reason I chose Energea, but I took the Ableton production course and had a terrible experience. It was basically a waste of my money. The first two lessons started off okay, but after that there was very little instruction, if any. For example, around the last half of the 3rd class we started fooling around with drum kits and making our own beats. The instructor taught us how to queue drum samples up into the drum pad, which isnā€™t very complicated at all and took about 2 seconds to explain and from there was like ā€œokay. Try things out with this for a while,ā€ which I initially liked and was all for. Unfortunately, what I thought wouldā€™ve been like 30 mins or an hour tops of experimenting ON OUR OWN with the drum pad literally turned into the ENTIRE next 3 classes. We would come into class and the instructor would be like ā€œokay. weā€™re gonna continue on with the drum kit today and Iā€™ll show you a few more things later,ā€ but nothing ever happened. We were just each experimenting on our own and even the instructor was taking class time to make his own beats and barely paying us any mind. Occasionally someone would ask a question, but it very rarely amounted to anything. Additionally, the instructor was late to sessions sometimes by over 30 minutes and would still often cut class short and leave 30 minutes early. When he was on time, the class would be set to start at a certain time, but the class would often be held back waiting for every student to arrive first. This rarely happened. So, it was basically always a 30 minute delay before class began. Not that this actually mattered in the long run since once class began we were basically doing an 'independent studyā€™. Finally, I want to say that the equipment we used isnā€™t the best. It is the lower end gear that you can pick up for $50 at a Guitar Center. Donā€™t expect to be working with Ableton Live Push. Itā€™s decent enough especially since most of us were beginners and trying to learn, but if you then work with advanced gear it will be super intimidating. On these same lines, the Ableton Live on the computers were not always the legal version. Many of the computers were the pirated copy. Again, we are beginners so it didnā€™t matter too much, but for example, if you want to save your beat or track you were working on that is not possible on the pirated version. You also canā€™t import your own samples or beats from home using a flash drive because the pirated version will not accept them. I really want to stress that the lower end gear and pirated Ableton Live copies wouldnā€™t have bothered me if the instruction was better. The lack of proper instruction with a teacher that didnā€™t add anything to the classroom was really what killed it for me. I wish I could remember my instructorā€™s name, but Iā€™m certain it was not Michelangelo. With all the glowing reviews naming him specifically, it makes me kind of sad that he wasnā€™t my instructor. I wish I couldā€™ve experienced his classroom. I really really really REALLY wanted to enjoy this program and was sorely disappointed. Itā€™s very rare that I write these kinds of reviews (good or bad), but I just had to get this off my chest as it has been bothering me ever since it ended. I would stay away.

Energea not only provides an environment for honing in on the craft of music and art, but also places a great deal of importance on self-development and empowerment through workshops. The workshops provided at Energea teach individuals how to gain clarity and a VISION for accessing their highest potential. They also provide belief- repattering processes that may block us from our personal development. The workshops aim at helping individuals take personal responsibility for their inner revolution. This is accomplished through the support of facilitators and participants as it is structured in a way that encourages a communal feel. I absolutely love all the support and community at Energea. Highly recommended for those seeking to develop a greater version of themselves!!

For many years I have always wanted to learn how to produce music. I am an entertainer and always add to what I do and music production was the next step to take. I heard about Energea from a good friend who told me the teachers there were extrememely good at teaching as he had worked with them before on making music. They were exceptionally good on explaining to him some missing info he didn't know on music. I took his advice and signed up for the class. The great news about Energea is it's not expensive at all that was a major motivation. I went in with eyes open and mind and was blown away by how well the teachers were receptive to their student and also explaining all parameters to make sense on every section of the course covered. I highly recommend this school and their courses to any one who wants to learn. I've been so impressed with them and by them that I now take it upon myself to speak to new comers into the music scene to go and learn at Energea. You will get your moneys worth but the knowledge they impart is a huge treasure. Thank you Energea for helping me live a dream of learning how to produce music.

As Yarah Formation, a practitioner working with Energea I have been fortunate enough to have Michelangelo share his vision with me, and it is BIG. What is being created at Energea is a unique platform for both artists and wellness practitioners alike, providing opportunity to explore alternative methods of art and health. With its honest and humble approach Energea is already raising the vibration of NYC and looks all set to spread its positive energy worldwide in the near future. I am honored and grateful to be a part of such a powerful movement...

Great classes. Knowledgeable instructors had me making my own track in days. The instructors are very hands on and answer all your questions along the way so you are never left behind. Definitely recommend to anyone looking to get into music production.
