  Emory Transplant Center was first-rate for this living donor. Physicians and nurses and case managers did an excellent job at every stage of my sister's and my transplant process. I highly recommend this center.

  Shame on this hospital for what they're doing to little 2 year old A.J. Burgess who needs a kidney transplant and whose father, Anthony Dickerson, is a perfect match. The fact that this hospital is refusing to perform this lifesaving transplant just because of the father's parole violation shows a total lack of compassion and humanity and a cruel willingness to punish a man's offspring for that man's sin. And I don't think it's simple coincidence this is a family of color. This is one of the cruelest examples of institutional and systemic racism that I've seen in modern times. This situation says a lot about this school's values and for that reason, I would never consider attending, donating to, or sending my child to this school. Emory University has tainted their reputation by refusing to save this innocent chuld's life and, more importantly, is unnecessarily risking the life and well-being of an innocent child. All people EVERYWHERE should be appalled and should be pressuring this hospital to do the right thing! SHAME ON EMORY UNIVERSITY!

  My daughter is a transfer from CHOA for kidney transplantation. If you have a procedure that is needed they are excellent. If you ever need any kind of follow up you better hope the response required is not needed quickly. Facilities are great, but do expect slow or no response if there is anything needed outside of normal processing of the situation.

  The doctors and majority of the nurses that work directly with them are among of the best the southeast region has to offer. I have nothing but confidence and praise for them. The problem lies in the support staff and the reason for my review. This includes almost everyone behind a desk. I find the majority to be rude, cold, and at worst, incompetent. They seem to think because they work at such a prestigious facility they are on the same level as the doctors and nurses. They are mediocre at best. This applies to the entire hospital system, all the clinics, labs, and the support diagnostic facilities. Imaging is particularly less than satisfying ( you want a long time in a waiting room, get an mri). There are, of course, exceptions to my criticisms. Some are friendly, courteous, and go out of their way to help. They are sadly in my experience the minority. My advise to newer patients (I've been a patient for a few years) is to join the Emory portal, download the software, and contact your health team directly through secure messaging. I found it offers much more satisfying experience. Also be aware that your doctors will push you to use Emory diagnostic facilities except for maybe simple blood labs. If you live outside of the Atlanta area be prepared to make that long drive and fight traffic for a test that could be mostly performed easier locally. Prepare for your appointments and bring a blanket, entertainment, and comfortable clothing summertime included. Emory is often freezing cold year round. Also, know when the situation is critical Emory rises to the occasion and all the facilities come together to give you the help you need immediately. Just my two cents worth
