  Do not go here! The owner is a liar & a fraud. After my mother bought her gown for my wedding from this place (formerly known as Alta Moda) we were constantly seeing horror stories about this place and people not getting their dresses. My wedding was in Nov of 2017. I tried calling Wilimena, the owner, she never answred. I decided to go to Alta moda, & it was empty. It closed, which wilimena failed to let us know. I finally got through to her & expressed my concerns after the “rumors” going around. She assured me they weren’t true & that my mothers dress would be in the following week, so we made an appointment. We go to the new location, now under the name Elianas couture. About 30 minutes later, wilimena still can’t find my mothers dress, even though she insists it came in & she had it. I take the sample dress off the rack to refresh her memory of what dress it was. She tried to claim that it was my moms dress and one of the girls must have unbagged it and put it on the rack. Meanwhile, beads and crystals were falling off. Clearly not my moms new dress but the sample size. my mom tried it on anyway. Now, when my mom first picked out the dress, willemenia claimed it was a “custom” gown exclusively for Alta moda. That was a lie. However, she measured my mom on the first day & said it would be made to her shape and size. When my mom tries on the sample gown that wilemenia was trying to put off as my moms. The dress was multiple sizes too small, yet my mom lost weight. So after it not fitting wilemenia went on a hunt for the dress. After a while she came back & said the seamstress took the dress thinking it was someone else’s who was having it completely torn apart and says if she hadn’t found in time my moms dress would have been completely cut apart. After flipping out wilemenia insists the dress will be there the next day. So the next day we arrive and she has the “new” dress that had my moms tag on it. My mom tries it on and it closed but was a little snug, which made it hard to believe it was actually custom made to her measurements, especially since she lost weight since being measured. After being checked for alterations my mom told wilemenia she was taking her dress home and would bring it back when it was time for alterations because she didn’t trust it there after it was lost & then almost torn apart. (Even though we never planned on bringing it back there). Wilimena flipped out & refused to give my mom the dress. She told us it was store policy that the dress can’t leave the store until after alterations even though we paid for it and owned it. After much arguing, she made my mom write a hand written contract that she took the dress and wouldn’t bring it back there for alterations and she was on her own (which we were perfectly fine with) Fast forward to a few weeks later, my mom gets a family friend who designs dresses to do the alterations & we found out why wilemenia never wanted us to take the dress. When she opened the dress she saw that the dress had been taken apart & put back together numerous times. It had been altered already. A new size tag was also put in. Wilemenia had taken a dress 2 sizes smaller and taken it out as much as it could and put my moms size tag in and tried to pull it off as my moms “custom” dress. Luckily she was able to salvage the dress and did a beautiful job. In the end it all worked out but don’t let this happen to you. Willemenia is a crook & a horrible business person. DO NOT GO HERE.

  DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP! What a nightmare!! Save yourself the owner wilmena is a liar!

  Eliana Couture - formerly known as Alta Moda. My cousins... my aunt... my godmother... our bridesmaids and my mom - the mother of the groom all in tears the day of our wedding. 20+ dresses were promised ready weeks before the wedding and Wilmene had the nerve to show up the day of to try to "finish" these dresses. Everyone's dress was falling apart. Sleeves weren't sewn in. Slits weren't cut... Absolutely pathetic. Lies after lies. Failed deadline after failed deadline. All this business is good for is to cause anxiety and stress. Not only is this person a fraud - she's a terrible business owner. After a while you start to feel sorry for her but then you remember seeing you're entire family in tears the day of your wedding (not happy ones) and that sympathy quickly disappeared. Do yourself a favor and stay away. The Knot reviews are truer than you think... The new name doesn't fool anyone.
