I went for happy hour and they were great. The service was awesome - attentive, quick, nice, and particularly accommodating (we kept annoyingly adding people to our table and the servers just kept bringing out chairs and drinks and we're very nice about it). The margaritas were good, and people seemed to really enjoy the $1 tacos.

Came in at 5pm the other day, the wait was 40 minutes. To pass time we had some happy hour margaritas from the bar which were strong and deliciously flavored. We had the dollar tacos as an appetizer and I had the pineapple pork quesadilla. Each bite was fresh and filled with flavor. Light and filling all at once.

Came here for a quick bite to eat. Had a short wait but they let us go to the bar and get a drink while we waited. We decided to get the grande taco for $20 and it was definitely worth the cost. The vibe was good inside but definitely too dark for my tastes. Will definitely come back again.

Went to this place several times over the last month. Very cool little bar and restaurant. Food is very good. Drinks are good if you get the right bar tender. Service was kinda hit or miss, otherwise it would be 5 stars.

El Rey always has great food. Cocktails are great; the sangria is a great standard. Try the jalapeno margarita! Fresh baked tortilla chips to go with the salsa or guacamole. Had the French Toast churros at brunch at our most recent visit. Interesting take on French toast. Super moist and delicious; sweet, but one should expect that from a French toast dish. I've gone here at least 4 or 5 times, and I've never had a bad meal here.
