  Its a small room, if you are thinking big but it is very clean and their service is great. Very nice people in front desk. Probably owners.. Totally recommended.

  I love this place. I came down to chula vista for work and El Primero came recommended by local staff. Since it was 10 mins away from where I needed to be, I thought the location would be great. The staff is really attentive. The breakfast is delicious and the old timely feel of the place is wonderful. The rooms are named after neighborhoods in the area. The place was exactly what I needed: cozy, quiet, and all around comfortable. There's a gym up the street and restaurants and bars near by, some chains and some local. I would definitely stay here again.

  The front desk person was very attentive and personable. The room was cozy. The bathroom was tiny but spotless. Very quiet. Very comfortable bed. No TV but who cares! WiFi worked great. On my out to dinner, I mentioned the laundry smell on the bed was a bit much. I had taken the bed apart to air out. When I got back, there were all new bed sheets with no smell! I slept the best night’s sleep I had had in my travels so far. Overall A plus experience.

  Love this place! This place is beautiful, it's an old 40's style building renovated up to modern standards. Rooms are ample, immaculate, and the shower dials actually worked perfectly. Beds are firm with very high quality sheets. I was super impressed. And the breakfast food was the best part, with a wide range of options all fresh made, from cereal to fresh eggs fritatas. And if you visit, be sure to try their family family banana bread which is so good they should package it and sell around town. Worth it for the banana bread alone. Best hotel I've stayed in, in recent memory. Priced very reasonably. Highly recommended.

  I could easily go on for half an hour on how amazing this boutique/ B&B is but I will keep my gushing under wraps. I stayed here 2 nights, and found this highly rated gem perusing the Internet for hotels in Chula Vista. I am so happy I did, as my stay felt like I was staying with extended family. It is a historic well appointed establishment with 20 cozy rooms. From the warm and welcoming Lobby, to the cool neon lights and white washed building, this place is awesome. Karen welcomed me and took great care in getting me checked in and settled in my room, the Old Town Suite. The rooms are on the smaller side only in comparison to modern hotel construction, but were very comfortable and decorated so nice with plenty of room including the bathroom. The sleep quality was excellent as well. They have a lovely secure courtyard with a breakfast room in the back that served juices, coffee, fresh fruit, hot items and breakfast breads in the AM. I feel like I loved my stay here so much that I am rambling but it was that wonderful of a stay. Private parking lot and it sits right on Third where there are plenty of eating and drinking establishments. This will be a must return to stay again place for me! Thank you Karen and family!
